Help Kevin Solve the Mystery Before January 30th!

Kevin is a precocious, inquisitive student. He is on holidays with his parents. His friends have already returned to school.

Not one to miss out on anything that’s going on at school, Kevin has kept in touch with his teacher Mr. Crimmins and classmates during his extended vacation. But recently things have taken a … curious turn.

Does Kevin have a new classmate?

 

Who will Kevin meet when he returns to class on January 30th?

Why are Mr. Crimmins and Jennifer so excited about this new classmate?

    I think it is something that combines or integrates SMART with Google and Apple….

    I”m always excited to see the next innovation from SMART! I”m thinking this new innovation may have to do with increased integration with Apple and something with virtual learning? Not really sure. The video is a bit cryptic, but darling!

    My students love SMART and want all that I teach them about the many collaborative applications. Maybe Kevin”s new classmate is new software to use easily with Apple? My students are guessing also. They are as excited as I am!!!

    I would agree that this looks to be collaboration tool coming. How much you want to bet in the last video we find out that Kevin”s new classmate is not even in the classroom but hundreds of miles away.

    SMART is always coming up with new exciting things! I wonder if this will give students the opportunity to work together from different places on the same thing – like google apps… or an different app for ipad – for kids? I can”t wait to see the next hint and to meet this new classmate!

    Obe, for iPads to remotely control a board, it would be an iPad Notebook app with “Bridgit” integrated into it. And that allows Kevin”s new classmate in (insert other country here) and Kevin to collaborate. The classroom no longer has walls or clocks. I like it!

    Multiple board classrooms, or maybe even iPad apps for SMART interactive???

    Anyone pick up on these things:

    Couple of Google references–his email account and a lot of reds, blues, greens, and yellows. There was an obvious Apple reference with the iPad. I also noticed that Kevin had two different color shoes on–one orange and one green.

    Excited to say the least!

    Being considered a classmate makes me believe that it is more than software, but something that excites his classmates. It will certainly be something that makes collaboration and interaction easier. A search of SMART Classmate revealed pre-order information of a really sweet piece of technology.
