Join us in October for two new SMART Learner Conferences, in Alberta Canada and Delaware USA. These hands-on conferences offer educators professional development opportunities through training sessions, guest speakers, product demos, live events and workshops.

Each event will include the following sessions:

Training for Teachers

SMART Notebook Training
This is an introductory level session designed to help educators learn how to use the SMART Board interactive whiteboard to improve their daily work. Learn about hardware components, how the SMART Board interactive whiteboard works and the basic principles of touch,write and save.

SMART Response Training
Discover how to effectively integrate the SMART Response interactive response system into your classroom. We’ll show you how the system works and how it can benefit your teaching and assessment practices. Find out how easy it is to set up the SMART Response system to create, deliver and evaluate assessments.

SMART Table Training
You’ll learn and practice how to use the SMART Table interactive learning center to enhance lessons and facilitate classroom learning. You”ll also learn how to build and customize your own SMART Table activities, and how to incorporate them into your lessons.

Lesson Development
You’ll receive an introduction to technology-integrated teaching. You”ll also learn how to design lessons efficiently in SMART Notebook software  by rebuilding and modifying materials from the Lesson Activity Toolkit and the SMART Exchange website.
 

Technical Training

SMART Response Technical Training
You’ll learn how the SMART Response system works, how to deploy it in a variety of environments and how to diagnose and troubleshoot common technical issues.

SMART Board Technical Training
You’ll learn how to properly install the SMART UF projector, how to diagnose and troubleshoot common technical issues and how to properly clean and maintain the interactive whiteboard.

SMART Table Technical Training
You”ll be introduced to the features, specifications, installation, configuration and maintenance requirements for the SMART Table interactive learning center.

Training for Administrators

Interactive Classroom Technology Solutions
You”ll learn how SMART can provide an interactive classroom technology solution for specific school and classroom needs, and you”ll receive evaluative tools to help you gauge how well your current technology solution is working.

 The SMART Administrator
This session teaches superintendents, principals and assistant principals how to use SMART products to strengthen and model technological leadership and bring innovation and excitement to day-to-day activities in their schools.
