SEE On the Scene at TCEA!
By Renee Fruge
Howdy from TCEA 2012! I am so excited to be blogging for the EDCompass blog. As a SMART Exemplary Educator, I have had so many wonderful opportunities and this is definitely going to be a great one! I arrived in Austin, Texas around noon on Monday and right away I could feel the excitement in the air! Everywhere I look are people just as excited as I am (well, maybe not as much) about the start of TCEA.
The first thing I noticed were the colorful bags everyone was carrying. For the first time at a conference, I was able to choose the color bag I wanted; it
was pink for me, of course! The bag is great, but the best thing is what is inside the bag…. The TCEA 2012 Program! I have been sitting and reading, trying to decide which sessions to attend and I am definitely having a hard time since there are so many great ones to choose from.
Another exciting opportunity for me and two other SMART Exemplary Educators that are here with SMART (and who you’ll also be seeing posts from TECA) will be working at the SMART Academy tomorrow with some wonderful SMART staff assisting educators eager to learn more about SMART products and how to use them in the classroom. It will be a busy day of learning, creating, sharing and collaborating, and I cannot wait to share with you the great things that we accomplish tomorrow!
Until then……
