Technology in early education – ISTE presentation
If you are looking for strategies for incorporating SMART products in your early education classes, or you’d just like to learn new ideas from an experienced educator – be sure to stop by our ISTE booth, 3313, today at 2 p.m. for Heather Sloan’s presentation.
Technology in early education will give you a glimpse into how Heather is using SMART products to streamline her students’ routines, save time, encourage participation, differentiate instruction and enable student-centered learning.
She will give examples of how she integrates SMART products into her classroom routine, including SMART Document Camera, SMART Slate wireless slate and SMART Response interactive response system, to make progress towards the kindergarten curriculum standards.
One of the highlights of her presentation will be how SMART Notebook 11 software is helping enhance her teaching practices and routines!
About Heather
Heather has been teaching in Oak Park Unified School District in Southern California for the past 16 years. This small, high-achieving district is made up of a close community of families, teachers and staff whose focus is always on children first. Heather always endeavors to make her kindergarten classroom a place where my students and their families love to be. Heather is the mom of seven and ten-year-old boys and they are always on the go – cycling, camping, dirt-biking and visiting museums are just a few of their pastimes.
